Epiphany Laboratories, LLC is a product development company specializing in concentrated solar power technologies. Epiphany’s lead product is a high efficiency water purification system, powered by concentrated solar thermal energy. The Epiphany Laboratories water purification solution addresses the needs of water-starved communities and nations around the globe. In addition, Epiphany is pursuing other point-of-use applications for its concentrated solar power technologies, such as process drying, heating, and steam generation.

Soil Remediation and Carbon Capture Initiatives

G-Tech
Growth Through Energy & Community Health (G-Tech) Strategies is a 501(c)(3) social enterprise investing in community revitalization through green economic development initiatives. Started in 2007 as a graduate project at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, G-Tech piloted the concept of growing biofuel crops to remediate land and produce biofuel feedstock on Pittsburgh’s largest remaining brownfield.

By partnering with community organizations, service providers, public agencies and private companies to develop and implement joint ventures, G-Tech helps cultivate new markets in the green economy that benefit our communities and create jobs.

Optimus Technology - Fossil Free Fuel
Optimus Technology offers the latest in two tank renewable fuel system retrofits for diesel engines. Optimus systems are fully automated to ensure accurate temperatures and purging, yet are fully adjustable to accommodate a variety of vehicle makes and models. Optimus is committed to continually designing and developing industry leading, certified fuel systems that enable usage of renewable fuels.

Idea Foundry
Idea Foundry is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 2002. Idea foundry serves Western Pennsylvania with the ongoing purpose of increasing the number of higher-wage jobs by transforming innovative technologies into viable businesses. This is accomplished by helping entrepreneurs launch their companies and by facilitating technology transfer activities in established organizations. Idea Foundry evaluates, invests in, and works with companies representing a broad variety of technologies, markets and entrepreneurs and provides the strategy, access, and funding required for successful technology transfer projects in larger organizations.
