River Hill Coal

Safety

Our first priority at River Hill is the safety of our employees.  We have won numerous safety awards from the Home Safety Association.  We continually educate our employees on how to work in a cautious and vigilant manner in order to avoid accidents.  Our employees have superior training and have worked for River Hill Coal for an average of at least twelve years.  Most of our employees have more than twenty years of experience in the coal mining industry.  It is no wonder why River Hill has one of the best safety ratings in the United States mining industry.

Production

In 2007, River Hill began major renovations to the Tosco coal preparation plan, adding to the existing structure and building a clean coal circuit.  These modifications and additions were completed in October of 2008.  River Hill can now produce at least 20,000 tonnes per month of Mid-Vol 8% ash, 1% sulfur metallurgical coal.  We estimate that the maximum Mid-Vol production of this plant is 500,000 tonnes per year.

Supply

Because we have potential reserves of more than 100 Million tonnes, we can provide metallurgical coal indefinitely.  Out total production in 2005 was approximately 400,000.  With our recent cleaning plant upgrades, we estimate that our production for 2010 will exceed 500,000 tonnes.  WE ARE SOLD OUT FOR 2010 AND ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY MORE ORDERS AT THIS TIME.
